Orillia Beatles Celebration
The headliners this year at The Orillia Opera House are ‘The McCartney Years’, Canada’s premiere tribute band to Paul McCartney.  Also at the Orillia Opera House, audiences will be treated to a chronological journey through The Beatles albums when REVOLUTION takes the stage at 2pm. A collection of Toronto’s top-notch rock musicians will present an electrifying stage show showcasing the Beatles’ musical journey from ‘Please Please Me’ (1963) through ‘Let it be’ (1970).
The Main Stage/Beer Garden tent will feature two terrific street dances (September 17 & 18) with returning headliners ‘LET’S GET BACK, who will delight audiences with their spirited recreations of classic Beatles rock.
The Orillia Beatles Celebration will also be screening the Canadian feature film “Let Him Be’, a fascinating film about two undergrad film students who discover that John Lennon is alive and well and living in a remote part of rural Ontario.
Beatles fans will also be treated to a free screening of the 1970 documentary ‘Let it be’ in honour of that films’ fourtieth anniversary.
Also back this year is renowned Beatles memorabilia appraiser Andrew Croft, who will be apprising collectors on the value of 50 years worth of memorabilia in the green room at the Orillia Opera House.
Wristbands will be on sale Friday and Saturday at the merchandise tables outside the Main Stage and Orillia Opera House. The price of the wrist band is $20 and admits wearers into the Mainstage/Beer Garden tent both nights, the performance of REVOLUTION at the Orillia Opera House and into the film screenings.
