Hi! I'm one of those people who is brought kicking and screaming into this century. I am making progress. I have a gps....which keeps me from getting lost except when I ignore it thinking I know best...which I don't. I got a digital camera which I love and I know how to upload pictures onto Facebook which greatly annoys Tara because she keeps getting the updates on how many pictures I've posted and every caption update from friends!!!! So now....its time to conquer the dreaded cell phone. I've had one for years but only wanted it , in the car, for those just in case moments. Just for an emergency. I don't want to chat and I don't want to text anything. Anyway, its time to actually figure it out. For this , I turned to our resident gadget geek, Brett Glover from the traffic department. He has managed to program some of my friends cell numbers into it for me. He downloaded an Elvis ringtone..." A Little Less Conversation"....which I thought was clever seeing as its my phone but I don't actually want to talk on it .....get it???? He has also shown me how to turn it on. ( which may I say makes no sense...why would you push a red button for on? Wouldn't green for go make more sense? Couldn't it just say "talk"???? and then say "hang up" Guess that would be too simple. He lived through my endless questions...."Does the phone have to be on to get a call?" ( uh..apparently so) So....I'm almost ready to accept calls. Oh, but don't leave a message...I don't know how to retrieve....and oh yeah, I don't actually know my cell phone number..... but maybe someday!!!!
