HI! Welcome to a Thursday!  You have probably gathered from past blogs and hearing the Chris and Wendy show that I"m not a big outdoors fan!  Nature is nice from a distance.  I just don't want to get up close and personal with any bugs, if I can help it.  In fact, if they could build a tunnel from my house to the radio station with a connection to Walmart and Tim Hortons, I'd be a happy camper.   Well, because I'm not really a camper at all! But this weekend.....I am headed to a fishing lodge.  I've been to this fishing lodge before!  Last year, I remember checking in and seeing boxes of frozen bait ( ie worms) in the freezer section next to the guest registration desk.  I don't know how I didn't scream. I remember thinking ( just act casual....like its normal) Ick!!!!   And there were these carved bears in the garden.  Oh, and you couldn't drink the tap water because it was contaminated or something so you had to bring your own!   So, why you ask would I return????   Elvis, of course.  There's a special fundraiser for the town's legion and I'm mc'ing. I actually love the town and the motel is quaint if you like carved bears and live bait.   I just don't.  But the draw of seeing my Elvis family and enjoying the talents of dozens of tribute artists performing is too much for me to turn down!  So, come join us.  Great music and the nicestpeople ever.... Coldwater Legion Friday night at 8....Saturday 1 p.m. til whenever.  Its free.  And last year, I was introduced to jello shooters......I may need a couple to get me past the worms and up to my room.
