Good morning and welcome to a soggy blog today! I was hoping to get out golfing for the first time this season today but I think Mother Nature has another idea. Unlike Jamie, who would literally golf in a hurricane, I am a fair weather golfer. The weather has to be perfect for me to even think about putting on my golf shoes...by perfect I mean...partly sunny...about 24...no humidity...and a gentle breeze coming out of the South...some may call me a princess...ok...some do call me a princess...but my thinking is that I dont love the sport enough to brave the elements or endure a bad hair day for it:)
If you've been following this whole Jon and Kate Plus 8 scandal, you know about Jon's alleged affair with a 23 yr old teacher who is apparently keeping him after hours for...ahem...detention. Jon denies the affair but the pictures and videos on USWeekly.com do make it hard to believe that the two are just buddy buddy. I dont know about you but I dont know alot of guys who hang out in their backyards with girls in their bikini's when their wives aren't home...well I dont know any that are still married anyway...
I dont even want to know what kind of punishment Kate is doling out to her errant hubby behind the scenes...I can only imagine...the guy got in trouble for breathing for heaven sakes...I'm betting he's currently sitting through the world's longest time-out...I dont know why but the idea of her making him sit facing the wall in a kiddie chair doesn't seem all that far fetched to me:)
Although my disdain for Kate has been well documented here, I couldn't help but feel a little bit...can I say it...sorry for her. I really dont care how bad your relationship is...how much he or she "just doesn't understand you"...or if your partner hasn't bathed since Boy George had a hit record...there is NEVER an excuse to cheat...not only would I never do that to a man...I wouldn't do that to another woman...we're a sisterhood...we have to stick together...and women who do stuff like that to other women...like the 23 yr old teacher who's forgotten that Jon is still married to Kate Plus 8...get kicked out of the club...simple as that...
The thing I find the most hypocritical though is that both Jon and Kate both promised to pull the plug on the show if it started affecting family life in a negative way. I dont know about you...but I would call US Weekly, People, and and the rest of the tabloids splashing your face on the covers of their May issue with the words CHEATER, LIAR, and SCANDALOUS AFFAIR...affecting your family life in a negative way...but are they pulling the plug on the show? No...of course not...those were promises made before the multi million dollar home...the thrice weekly luxury spa days...the fancy clothes...and the expensive trips...you know...the things that really count in life...
Jon and Kate keep claiming that they are focusing on the health and well being of their family. Well, I might actually believe that hyperbole if they put their money where there mouth is and pulled the plug on the show...but...we all know that's not going to happen...and I bet that ten years down the road, they'll regret that choice...I mean...seriously...didn't they learn anything from Nick and Jessica???
