Good morning and welcome to today's blog. I had one of those life flashing before you moments yesterday on the 4oo.
It had just started to snow and I was on my way back home after running some errands. Seeing the brake lights come on the car up ahead of me, I started to put the brakes on.....and that's when the skid started. In a split second my life flashed before me( the sad thing was that it was rated PG:) .. I lost total control of my car and it spun around in the middle lane of the 400. I dont know how noone including myself was injured but by some miracle, there didn't happen to be any cars around me and I was okay.
I dont know who was watching over me and which stars had to be aligned for that to be one of the only times there weren't any cars in my path, but boy, was I grateful. It brought home the reality that we are not driving in the summer anymore and that we have to be extra careful on the roads.
The one funny thing was that the thought that went through my mind besides worrying about my mom while I was spinning around was that I should have had dessert when it was offered the night before because it might have been my last!
Moral of the story is...take it easy out there...and eat that darn cake!!!
