1st day of school

Things are going to get emotional in our household starting next week. Daughter Sophie goes off to school for the first time on Tuesday - her first day of JK. I can see the tears now from Meghan. It is rather an emotional time when a child heads off on their first day of school. I can remember being annoyed at my Mom as every September she'd try and snap that picture of myself, with my brother and sisters in our new school duds on the first day of school. My buddies would be waiting for me by the curb. "Mom...hurry up...take the picture..no I don't want to smile...stop crying....Mom...hurry up!" Yeah, those pictures rarely turned out with all four us smiling together. So kids, go easy on Mom next week. The first day is tough. The second day she's into the margarita mix enjoying the peace and quiet until 3pm.
