My wife and I are taking a bit of a holiday… jumping on an east-bound Via train and heading to Halifax and Charlottetown. I haven’t travelled much in my life… Quebec City… Niagara Falls… and Washington DC are about as far as I’ve ventured. I’ve always wanted to see to the east coast. Everyone I’ve talked to says it’s beautiful country.
I’m not the kind of person that packs lightly. I always have to pack for every possible situation. If it rains… if it’s hot… if I get a cold… if I have a sick stomach… if I accidentally amputate myself. We can only bring two suitcases for our eight day trip. I guess it’s a matter of what you can sacrifice. And when you think about some things you can do without… you start thinking strange things. “Maybe I can just turn my underwear inside out and wear them a second time.” “Does shampoo double as toothpaste??” “Can I just swim naked in the hotel pool?”
Don’t worry… I’ll sit on top of the suitcase to make sure I pack my swim trunks.
Are you like me… or am I just crazy??
