I always thought I was a very techie person (hey... I got a 96% in tech class in high school)... but I was REALLY freaking out over the weekend.  We recently moved around some stuff at home.  We have an older TV (I refuse to buy a new one until this one blows up) and it only has a few jacks to hook up at the back.  So I hooked up our TV to our satellite dish with a regular cable (coax cable).  There was picture but no sound.  I tried changing channels on the remote... nothing.  I played a DVD... nothing.  I was starting to freak out thinking that I broke our precious television.  I even told my wife that we need a new TV.  Then I looked at the back of the television... there was a button that I've never seen before called "SPEAKERS ON/OFF."  I had inadvertently turned the speakers off.  Once that was figured out I had to just hook up our stereo system to the TV.  An HOUR later... I was too exhausted to watch tv.
